2019 ISSRNC Conference – Keynote Speaker Siv Ellen Kraft

Professor Kraft, University of Tromsø

The ISSRNC is delighted to announce that Siv Ellen Kraft will deliver a keynote speech at our 2019 conference, Religion, Water, Climate: Changing Cultures and Landscapes in Cork, Ireland.

Professor Kraft is a professor in the Department of Archaeology, History, Religious Studies and Theology at the University of Tromsø in Norway. Her research focuses on indigenous religions and environmental mobilizations, since 2015 with a comparative project called Indigenous Religion(s), Local Grounds, Global Networks (INREL). Her recent publications include “Standing Rock Religion(s): Ceremonies, Social Media and Music Videos” (co-authored with Greg Johnson, Numen, 2018), and the Handbook of Indigenous Religion(s), (co-edited with Greg Johnson, Brill, 2017).

We are excited to hear more about her work on indigenous environmental movements and hope that you will join us in the audience at University College Cork!
